Sous la supervision du Responsable de la Planification, vous êtes en charge des activités d’approvisionnement des matières premières et de tout autre matériel et/ou service nécessaire pour assurer le bon fonctionnement des opérations de l’entreprise :
Vous négociez et gérez les ententes stratégiques avec des fournisseurs de haute importance pour des projets d’envergure;
Vous assurez l’approvisionnement et la disponibilité des produits, fournitures d’usine, composantes et autres au moment requis et au meilleur rapport qualité-prix tout en maintenant un niveau d’inventaire qui permet d’obtenir des taux de rotations efficaces;
Vous développez des relations d’affaires qui contribuent à la stratégie globale de l’entreprise
Vous maintenez une gestion efficace (qualité, coûts et délais) des fournisseurs clés.
Vos formation, expérience et connaissances :
Baccalauréat en administration des affaires / gestion de la chaine d’approvisionnements ou dans un domaine connexe;
Expérience pertinente de 5 années minimum dans le domaine de l’approvisionnement stratégique de matériel et matières premières servant à la production et aux opérations, acquise idéalement dans le secteur de l’aéronautique et avez une bonne connaissance de ses acteurs.
Atout : Accréditation professionnelle liée à la fonction (p.g.c.a., CPIM, CIRM, p.log.).
Vous avez une excellente connaissance de MS Office et particulièrement du logiciel Excel;
Atout : Vous connaissez BAAN ou tout autre système intégré;
Vous êtes parfaitement bilingue (français/anglais) autant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

Senior Development Engineer – Electronic and wireless systems – Laurentians, Canada
Reporting to the Senior Technology Manager – Wireless, you are the technical expert in electronic and wireless systems for Orica Initiating Systems (IS) global community. You are responsible for the development of next generation of wireless and electronic blasting products (WebGen/EBS),
Manage development electronics products projects globally (firmware/hardware). Develop intellectual property.
Maintain safety critical systems.
Assure regulatory authority liaison for products in Europe, Americas, EU, Asia and Africa.
Provide global technical advice and support on products with customers, suppliers and contractors globally.
Key activities
Develop safety critical systems, including documented verification and validation systems, and according to appropriate global and regional standards. Ensure compliance for electronics matters, developing documentation and managing process.
Lead products Technology projects/initiatives: create, develop and test control firmware and software in accordance with IEC61508 and able to understand / analyse electronic control hardware design.
Contribute to the development of detailed, verifiable, Safety Specifications and User Needs Specifications (UNS) for products.
Provide timely, effective and appropriate technical support for products globally including fault investigation and problem solving, both in the lab and in the field on customer sites.
Support to our customers in the Americas region and the manufacturing sites and to the field use of products, including accountability for agreed objectives, budgets, and deadlines. When required, assist global projects and plants.
Generate new ideas for wireless technology through diverse means such as: literature studies, customer contact, and surveillance of new technologies in other industries, benchmarking, and sharing of ideas within the Orica IS global community.
Preferred Experience
PhD or Master in Electronic Engineering or relevant science discipline in accordance with the position (Physics, Material Science…)
More than 5 years’ experience in project management: R&D development and improvement electronic products projects (firmware/hardware).
More than 10 years’ technical / operational experience in a highly regulated industry.
Experience in explosives will be consider as an asset but not mandatory.
Qualifications
Expert in wireless communications and electronic systems (firmware / hardware).

Votre formation, votre expérience
BAC en génie mécanique ou minimum DEC en mécanique du bâtiment ou autre domaine pertinent aux exigences du poste.
Expérience pertinente de 5 ans minimum en conception mécanique ou gestion de projets (construction)
Excellente connaissance du domaine CVAC
Expérience en gestion de contrats de service CVAC (un atout)
Vos compétences, vos qualités
Grand sens analytique, autonome, dynamique et débrouillard, souriant, capable de travailler en équipe
Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles, de communication autant avec les clients que les fournisseurs, les professionnels et toute autre personne impliquée dans les projets

You are responsible to :
Lead the development and implementation of Electronic Blasting System products (electronic detonators and blasting equipments) including the qualification of the manufacturing process
Review and evaluate existing methodologies to measure product performances
Lead the development of new methodologies to measure product performances and analyze the data, conduct risk assessments and implement.
Perform exploratory work to find and qualify new technologies that will bring an added value to our products
Manage projects required by the technology group, present project updates to senior management
Coordinate and or Support qualification and implementation of new products & processes by working with several groups within manufacturing and as well as with our external suppliers.
Participate and contribute to the adoption of Field information System in the Technology team
Your accountabilities
Manage qualification of new product and process, implementation of new design and start-up of new production equipments.
Propose, support and implement technology projects and initiatives related to safety, quality and product performance improvements.
Develop and maintain strong relationship with our external suppliers
Lead the development and implementation of new test methods and data analytics.
Coordinate and prioritize work for the Technicians in the team
Manage several development project related to product improvement.
Support improvement of product and process technical documentation.
Perform qualification testing and train other members of the Technology team.
Your education and experience
Degree in Engineering or relevant hard science discipline
Master or PhD would be an asset
At least 7 years of work experience in a similar position
Experience in continuous improvement activities or in product & process development in an high automated manufacturing environment.
Experience in electronic industry highly desirable
Mining background would be a plus
PMP or/and NPDP certification would be an asset.
