Directeur de fabrication – Montréal Rive-Sud (pourvu)
Notre client est un important manufacturier.
Dans le cadre d’une réorganisation de l’entreprise, il est à la recherche pour l’un de ses sites, basé dans la région de Montréal, d’un(e)
Directeur(trice) de Fabrication (bilingue Anglais/Français)
Directement rattaché(e) au Directeur Exploitation et dans le cadre de la politique définie par la direction générale, vous avez pour principale mission : la gestion de l’atelier et du centre de distribution de pièces. A ce titre, vous avez pour
responsabilités de :
- Faire respecter les consignes de sécurité ainsi que les règles du système qualité auprès de votre équipe ;
- Gérer, coordonner et piloter une équipe multidisciplinaire composée de 15 personnes ;
- Gérer les opérations de fabrication et de distribution, en faire respecter la planification, les échéances ;
- Prendre les dispositions nécessaires afin d’optimiser les opérations de l’atelier et du centre.
Ce site est amené à prendre une place de plus en plus importante sur le marché au niveau mondial.
Formation et expérience :
- Diplôme universitaire en génie industriel ou mécanique ou tout autre diplôme pertinent aux fonctions ;
- Minimum de 10 ans d’expérience en fabrication d’équipements standards et/ou sur mesure ;
- Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en gestion d’équipe ;
- Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en gestion de projets ;
- Expérience dans l’élaboration d’estimations, l’évaluation des couts de revient, la planification des opérations, le respect des livrables, la gestion des inventaires, le respect de la qualité et SST…etc.;
- Expérience en gestion des budgets et des priorités afin de livrer la marchandise en temps, qualité et couts;
- Expérience en amélioration continue afin de maximiser la performance/rentabilité de l’atelier et du centre(Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S…) ;
- Expérience en usinage, soudage et formage des métaux (atout).
Compétences requises :
- Aisance informatique et connaissance des systèmes ERP/MRP. Connaissance de SAP (atout);
- Interprétation des dessins, P&ID, mécaniques, graphiques, dessins électriques, hydrauliques, etc. ;
- Excellentes habiletés en relations interpersonnelles et en service à la clientèle ;
- Fortesaptitudes organisationnelles et en résolution de problèmes ;
- Capacité à travailler de façon autonome ;
- Connaissance/application des méthodes Lean – Six Sigma. Certification Green Belt (apprécié non requis);
- Excellentes habiletés pour la communication orale et écrite – français et anglais.

Orica Global Technology Center, based in Brownsburg (Laurentides, Nr Lachute, QC) opens a new position in its EBS (Electronic Blasting System) R&D team and is currently looking for a bilingual (French/English)
Field Support & Development Engineer
The Field Support & Development Engineer reports to the EBS technology manager, North America.
His mandate is to support equipment & develop new electronic systems solutions in order to answer to clients issues
Job Purpose:
- Improvement and validation of product quality
- Field testing of EBS product, such as detonators, blasting equipment, wire and connectors
- Support of customers (internal and external)
- Introduction and training on new EBS product
- Fault finding on product malfunction on customer sites.
- Understanding of error modes, suggestions of corrective actions, etc.
- Reporting of EBS field test results and fault analysis
Qualification requirements:
- Engineering degree in electronics, micro-electronics, mechatronics or communication technology.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in industry with pertinent responsibilities
- Experience in performance testing of mechanical components as used in precision electro-mechanical systems and mechanical/electronic assemblies
- Good understanding of digital and analog electronic circuitry.
- Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to electronic / communications fault finding
- Bilingual/fluent in French and English.
Strong Assets (but not required):
- Base knowledge of embedded C programming.
- Programming ability in Delphi and C++
- Experience in hazard analysis, Knowledge in FMEA
- Spanish skills

Ingénieur automatisation/Programmeur PLC – Conception Génik, St-Jérôme (pourvu)
Notre client, Conception Génik Inc., est une entreprise dynamique de plus de 50 employés, basée à St-Jérôme (Qc). La compagnie œuvre en haute technologie dans le domaine de la conception et de la fabrication de solutions automatisées et/ou robotisées sur mesure.
Afin de répondre à sa croissance, Conception Génik décide d’étoffer son équipe en créant 2 postes de :
Ingénieur automatisation – Programmeur / Concepteur électrique
Sous la supervision du directeur de projets, le Programmeur / concepteur électrique participe à toutes les étapes menant à la réalisation du projet, de la conception à la mise en route chez le client en respectant les budgets et les échéanciers tout comme les exigences des livrables.
Plus précisément, il devra assumer les responsabilités et tâches suivantes :
- Programme les PLC, les interfaces opérateurs, les robots, etc.
- Participe aux activités de remue-méninges (brainstorming);
- Collabore à l’élaboration de la soumission;
- Participe à toutes les étapes de conception, notamment la conception de diagrammes électriques;
- Effectue les mises au point, les installations ainsi que les mises en marche des machines.
Exigences requises :
- Expérience pertinente en programmation de PLC Siemens, Allen-Bradley ou Schneider;
- D.E.C. ou B.A.C. en génie électrique ou équivalent;
- Posséder un bon esprit d’équipe;
- Faire preuve d’habileté en communication, d’autonomie, d’initiative et avoir le sens de l’organisation;
- Posséder une bonne connaissance de l’anglais parlé et écrit.
Atouts :
- Démontre, par son implication dans la réalisation de projets personnels ou professionnels, son intérêt et sa passion pour l’automatisation;
- Expérience en conception de diagrammes électriques;
- Connaissance des normes électriques;

Our client, Orica Canada Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of commercial civil explosives, blasting systems and services to the mining, quarrying and construction. The Orica Explosive’s largest manufacturing site worldwide with annual manufacturing cost of $40MM is in Brownsburg (Lachute, Laurentides).
They are looking for a Quality manager, North America
The Quality Manager reports to the Brownsburg Site Manager. Your mandate is to:
- Manage the Quality and Technical Support group.
- Provide products and processes support to the Brownsburg site, the Tappen site and to the Initiation Systems (I.S.) Marketing Group.
- Also, provide support to other Orica sites worldwide, when needed.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and implements business strategies aimed at quality and technical improvement. Develop and maintain a continuous improvement plan on technical support and quality matters for Brownsburg and Tappen sites. Participate in corporate / marketing improvement plan in his/her area of responsibility. Provide support to the other manufacturing groups responsible for cost reduction and SHE (Security, Health & Environnement) projects.
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System for the Brownsburg site. Take actions needed to maintain the ISO 9000:2000 certification and ensure the Brownsburg plant is prepared for the annual external ISO audit. Establish and manage the following quality programs and systems at the proper level: Supplier certification program, Change Approval system, Traceability system, Internal Audit systems and Continuous Improvement Plan program.
- Responsible for all Quality Control activities on the Brownsburg site from raw material inspection to release of finished product. Manage the work of the Quality Control Supervisor who is responsible of laboratory personnel. Establish proper control for in-process material and uses his leadership to ensure established procedures are followed at all time.
- Provide quality and technical support to the IS marketing group mainly through analysis and resolution of field complaints. Manage the Corrective / Preventive Action system and lead Material Review Board meeting.
- Provide quality and technical support to the manufacturing process. Manage the daily support to the Brownsburg plant and lead project to improve the manufacturing process. Implement and maintain statistical tools to control in-process parameters and prevent process/human errors.
- Is the point of contact of the site for the North American Marketing team, North American customers and Orica manufacturing sites worldwide. Provide technical and quality support for products shipped from Brownsburg and Tappen site.
- Is part of the Brownsburg plant Management team. As such, participate in management project not directly related to his sphere of activity such as collective agreement bargaining, transfer of activity between manufacturing plant etc
- Responsible for the production departments of lead azode manufacturing and pyrotechnic mixing.
- Responsible for the operations of scrap destruction.
Operating environment:
- Must be able to work in a multi -functions environment with different and sometimes opposite needs.
- Needs to quickly adapt to different situation, continuously review priorities and work with a high degree of autonomy.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in technical subject such as chemistry, physics or engineering.
- > 10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of explosives initiation systems, manufacturing processes, ISO 9000:2000 quality standard and quality techniques such as SPC, PFMEA etc. (asset)
Skills:
- Analytical skills,
- Excellent communication capability and show strong leadership.
- Must be able to hold his subordinates accountable and be able to influence peers.
- Strong technical knowledge in various matters such as: ISO 9000:2000, production processes, quality control, manufacturing technology etc.
